The context
The platform needed to bring public facing information and internal club operations into one coherent experience without exposing member activities. It also needed clear access boundaries so members, sub-executives, executives and administrators could use the features appropriate to their roles.
The East West University Cyber Security Club needed a modern digital platform to serve both its public audience and approved members. Beyond showcasing the club, the platform needed to support member onboarding, technical learning, internal competitions and day-to-day content and membership administration.
Designed and developed a React based frontend supported by a Node.js and Express API. Firebase Authentication supports identity verification, while backend issued JWTs and role-based authorization protect member and administrative operations. Supabase provides persistent data storage and the architecture for media and attachment storage. The interface brings public content and protected member tools together through responsive layouts and reusable components.
Approach → Solution
A system designed around the work.
Created a public club website with information pages, member panels, announcements, blogs, partners, learning paths and resources. Alongside it, built an authenticated member portal with CTF challenges, flag submissions, homework workflows, an internal leaderboard and role specific administrative tools for membership and content management.
